Attitudes of Gratitude

A Psalm of praise.

Psa 100 (KJV)
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
{2} Serve the LORD with gladness:
come before his presence with singing.

 {3} Know ye that the LORD he is God:
it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

{4} Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
 {5} For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting;
 and his truth endureth to all generations.

Col 1:11-14 (TLB)
We are praying, too,
 that you will be filled with his mighty, glorious strength
so that you can keep going no matter what happens--
always full of the joy of the Lord,
{12} and always thankful to the Father
who has made us fit to share all the wonderful things
that belong to those who live in the Kingdom of light.
{13} For he has rescued us out of the darkness
and gloom of Satan's kingdom
and brought us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,
{14} who bought our freedom with his blood
and forgave us all our sins.

Col 3:12-17 (TLB)
Since you have been chosen by God
who has given you this new kind of life,
and because of his deep love and concern for you,
you should practice tenderhearted mercy and kindness to others.

Don't worry about making a good impression on them,
but be ready to suffer quietly and patiently.
{13} Be gentle and ready to forgive; never hold grudges.
Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

{14} Most of all, let love guide your life,
for then the whole church will stay together in perfect harmony.
 {15} Let the peace of heart that comes from Christ
be always present in your hearts and lives,
for this is your responsibility and privilege as members of his body.

 And always be thankful.
{16} Remember what Christ taught,
and let his words enrich your lives and make you wise;
 teach them to each other
 and sing them out in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
 singing to the Lord with thankful hearts.

{17} And whatever you do or say,
let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus,
and come with him into the presence of God the Father
to give him your thanks.
